My Heart Desires

"Draw close to God, and God will draw close to you." James 4:8, NLT

If you could have a dream come true, what would it be? In Kendra Norman-Bellamy's novel, A Love So Strong, we are introduced to Nicole Walker, a woman with a deep desire to become pregnant and give life to a child of her own. Nicole Walker is no different than most of us. We all have dreams. Dreams are today's seeds and tomorrow's trees. I believe God plants dreams and desires in the fertile regions of our heart in an effort to push us toward the destiny He wants to harvest in our lives. Yet, in spite of His gift of dreams He betows on each of us, there is nothing He wants us to desire more than our desire to know Him. God wants us to invest the same passion we have for our dreams in Him. He wants the foremost desire of our heart to be a desire for His Will and His Way. Whatever you're looking to accomplish or attain, remember no dream should be bigger than God, our dream-maker.
