The Story of You

“We are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand." (Isaiah 64:8, KJV)

The above scripture reminds us we were formed by God. He is the one who created us therefore He knows what is best for us and which steps are the right ones for us to take. Journee Carter, the leading character in Jacquelin Thomas' book Soul Journey, understood this principle even as a child. And as a woman she continued to pray and seek God for direction. It really is this simple. If you are struggling with a decision, trying to discern the next move for your life or wondering what your purpose is, go to God in prayer. Ask Him to show you the way. Like Journeee discovered, sometimes friends and family will support you and sometimes they will think you are out of God's will. Regardless of what others say, positive or negative, let God order your destiny, design each day of your life, write your story. It will be a masterpiece!

Meditations:

"For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11, RSV)

"The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; thy steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of thy hands. (Psalms 138: 8, RSV)

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will direcct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6, NLT)
